10 Tips for a Healthy Body And Mind

Most of us feel low sometimes, but if your day to day life is getting affected by frequent lows, here are some tips that you can try to overcome it.

1. Eat

The food we eat affects our Mood. If your blood sugar drops, you might feel tired, irritable, and depressed. so we need healthy foods in our diet for our brain to function properly and lift our mood. Studies show that we must eat at least three times a day, this way we feel full and reduce hunger. It is important to plan your meal and choose what you eat.Include dry fruits, fats, and proteins in your diet, and never skip breakfast because it is the “Brains Food”.

 
2.Drink

Drink plenty of water! at least one cup of water every hour can improve metabolism and help you feel positive and energetic throughout the day.

3. Exercise 

Break a sweat! walk or go for a jog, keep yourself fit. Practicing meditation or getting a massage for at least 15 min every day can help reduce anxiety, sleep, stress, pain and can improve blood pressure.

4. Writing

Jot down points about your mood into a diary or smartphone. Write about how you feel and what are the thoughts and triggers. While keeping a record of feelings, this activity can help you to relax, introspect and modify your thoughts.

 
5. Share

Sometimes it’s ok to be “NOT OK”. Keep your connections stable by calling a friend or messaging. Share your experiences with people, it can boost your’s and other’s mood. Seek the immediate help of a professional if you’re feeling low or depressed for more than 6 months.

6. Organize

Take a few minutes to get organised. Clear the mess from your desk or work area  or your bedroom as it can make you lose focus, feel overwhelmed, disorganised, and slow your productivity. An organised environment helps you to concentrate on the work at hand.

 
7. Volunteer

A good deed goes a long way in improving your mood. Research shows that volunteering makes people happier because it helps them appreciate the good things in their own lives. Whether it is donating money, joining a charity, or volunteering at a community food bank, helping others helps you feel good about yourself.

8.Accept

It is important to accept what you’re feeling. Being truthful to yourself can often get you motivated to correct your mistakes and take the right step to solve your problems. Know your strengths and weaknesses before you say a ‘Yes’ to people. By knowing how you feel about yourself can keep you away from making worse decisions. It is very important to inform your friend or a professional in case of any suicidal ideations.

9. Travel

Sometimes all you need is to pack your bags and set off to your favourite destination. People are happy when they’re surrounded by people and nature.Chilling with your best buddy ,family or partner can gain you good mood. Traveling can refresh the mood and it gives you a break from routine life.

 
10. Sleep

Getting enough sleep is important for our overall health and well-being. Lack of sleep impair your judgement and impact your physical coordination. So not getting enough sleep affects the way you feel, think, work, learn and get along with other people.
